Aging with a Smile [Humor]

Image
[Here are some  humorous  quips about getting older.  All of us are...maybe some faster than others!  LOL  Enjoy!] Any woman can have the body of a 21-year-old, as long as she buys him a few drinks first. My memory's not as sharp as it used to be. Also, my memory's not as sharp as it used to be. Know how to prevent sagging? Just eat till the wrinkles fill out. I've still got it, but nobody wants to see it. I'm getting into swing dancing.. Not on purpose. Some parts of my body are just prone to swinging. It's scary when you start making the same noises as your coffeemaker. I think I've reached my sexpiration date. People our age can still enjoy an active, passionate sex life! Provided we get cable or that dish thing. The good news is that even as we get older, guys still look at our boobs. The bad news is they have to squat down first. These days about half the stuff in my shopping cart says, "For fast relief." I've tried to find a suitable e...

Words of Wisdom (Humor)

Image
People who live in glass houses should make love in the basement. Never read the fine print. There ain't no way you're going to like it. If you let a smile be your umbrella, then most likely your butt will get soaking wet. The only two things we do with greater frequency in middle age are urinate and attend funerals. The trouble with bucket seats is that not everybody has the same size bucket. To err is human, to forgive - highly unlikely. Do you realize that in about 40 years, we'll have thousands of old ladies running around with tattoos? Money can't buy happiness -- but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than in a Hyundai. Drinking makes some husbands see double and feel single. Living in a nudist colony takes all the fun out of Halloween. After a certain age, if you don't wake up aching in every joint, you are probably dead.

People are beautiful....

Retirement options...

Image
(From the movie "UP") You can retire to Phoenix, Arizona where...  1.  You are willing to park 3 blocks away because you found shade.  2.  You've experienced condensation on your butt from the hot water in the toilet bowl.  3.  You can drive for 4 hours in one direction and never leave town.  4.  You have over 100 recipes for Mexican food.  5.  You know that "dry heat" is comparable to what hits you in the face when you open your oven door.  6.  The 4 seasons are: tolerable, hot, really hot, and ARE YOU KIDDING ME?  OR You can retire to California where...  1.  You make over $250,000 and you still can't afford to buy a house.  2.  The fastest part of your commute is going down your driveway.  3.  You know how to eat an artichoke.  4.  You drive your rented Mercedes to your neighborhood block party.  5.  When someone asks you how far something is, you tell them how lo...

Images of Fall in New York

This morning, Oct. 1, 2012 Well, Summer has passed in a blur of gardening, reflection, observation and enjoying a simple life. Now, with cooler temperatures settling in, the plants in the garden are fading fast and the leaves on the trees are changing colors and beginning to fall like snow. And of course, here I am, with my camera always at the ready to capture whatever I can...I do try to take at least one photo a day!  Needless to say, I have an always constant supply of photos to s hare! We started seeing the leaves changing colors in early September. First came the yellowing of various trees. 9/12/12 Sugar maples  went quickly into the pinks and reds. 9/17/12 Other trees across the hillsides began to show signs too... 9/23/12 Now, we really are beginning to see the hillsides evolve into more and more colors: 9/26/12 While some trees are only just beginning to lose the green in their leaves. 9/27/12 Sadly, it isn't long after the leav...
