Serendipity

Geese have come to visit... So, I've been lax about adding too many posts lately, but it's not out of laziness...but either being busy or having problems with my shoulders (in which I have tendonitis in both rotor cuffs). However, I still have been taking photos...which I can do with one hand, thankfully! So here is a collection of photos I've taken this month...from frosted hillsides to feeding deer and honking geese. Enjoy! March, so far, has been a very snowy, blustery and snowy month for us here in upstate, New York. These next 5 photos were taken on March 3rd, 2013...and as you can see, we've had frosted trees, and a bit of snow to boot. Out of this particular storm, we received about 3-4 inches of snow when it was all said and done. The red squirrel I've named "Little Red" In the days that I have been absent from my blog, several things have happened, but the most exciting is that I have finally met our resident red squirrel. I knew we had one that visited the pines at the edge of the yard, but didn't realize that he lived 'local'!   My first photo of Little Red, about a week and a half ago, playing under some pines My second photo of Little Red, playing in our back yard about a week later! dawn skies...March 12, 2012 I started this the other day, but got somewhat side-tracked...which ended-up being a good thing! In just a few days time...I've taken many photos...all to celebrate a new day...a new beginning...of Spring. Although it's not yet officially "Spring" yet, we have been enjoying days of 70°F. (plus) temperatures, lovely, sunny yet balmy Spring days. In the past few days, I've watched as crocuses and Rhubarb have worked their way through the soil.
