List of Abundance

While we take time to remember the reasons why we do celebrate Memorial Day, it gives us pause to think about other things that we can be thankful for...God (if you are religious), your country and those who have died protecting it, and family.

I have created a List of Abundance to share with give you some thoughts of those things we can be thankful for:

* our lives...and being alive, despite what our physical shapes/conditions may be

* our family...parents, siblings, children, etc.

* our livelihoods...whatever they may be

* our homes, be they bought, rented  or whatever constitutes a roof over your head

* our ability to think and act freely, to use our intelligence to better ourselves

* to know the difference between right and wrong; good and evil

* to enjoy each day to the fullest

* to see a smile or a sparkle in someone's eyes

* to enjoy the simple pleasures of well as the finer things

The list could go on and on...but the point is that we need to be thankful for what we do have, whether we are rich or poor, regardless of race, color, sex; regardless of whether we are Democrats or Republicans, heterosexual or gay.

Look around us...there are so many who have not, because of natural disasters, war, famine, and/or our economies.  There is just so much we do take for granted...every day.

Have a wonderful Memorial Day...remember those who have given their lives to protect this land that we know as home.
